Casting Call: BIPOC TV & Film’s “Rising Voices” Table Reads
Job Detail: We are excited to announce an open casting call for BIPOC TV & Film’s upcoming project, “Rising Voices,” featuring four different table reads. This virtual event will take place on Zoom, providing talented performers an excellent platform to showcase their skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a virtual table read, accurately delivering lines and contributing to character development discussions.
- Collaborate with directors, writers, and other actors to bring script pages to life in a dynamic and engaging manner.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve script delivery and effectiveness.
- Maintain professionalism throughout rehearsals and live readings.
Requirements:
- Must identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color).
- Open to ACTRA/APP Union performers only.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable device for Zoom.
- Ability to read and interpret scripts effectively.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to perform in a virtual setting.
- Prior acting experience in theater, film, or television is preferred.
Compensation: Each selected performer will receive an honorarium of $137.50 for approximately one hour of participation.
