We’re seeking 3 performers for an upcoming Script in Hand performance at the New Adelphi, Salford.
The BBC’s First Homosexual is a piece of new writing by Stephen M Hornby and directed by Oliver Hurst.
Availability must include 18th-30th November (4 evenings 6pm-10pm, 2 Saturday and all day 30th November at Uni of Salford. Audition held 21st and 22nd October.
Paid: £500 fee
Roles Available:
Tom (Male presenting) – Mid 20s, homosexual man from Scunthorpe. Living in 1950’s Britain, struggling to come to terms with his sexuality.
- 90 second self-tape extract from ‘The Day the world came to Huddersfield.’
Multi-Role 1 & 2 – Strong character actor, multiple accents required (inc. RP). Male and Female Characters. Strong comedic performance.
- -90 second self-tape extreact from ‘Could 9’ performed in RP accept.
- and 90 second self-tape from a piece of your choice with a strong contrast to ‘Cloud 9’ extract.

An upcoming A24 TV series set in a London school is casting for the role of Greg, a 16-year-old queer, talented footballer. The series focuses on girls’ football and aims to feature authentic, relatable performances. No previous acting experience is required, but strong football skills are essential.
