All the Line Studio & Incubator invites talented actors to audition for the February reading of our Next Step Screenplay Series, “A Vagabond’s Chaotic Life” by Andrew Robinson. This romantic comedy tells the story of Steve, a shy computer expert with a passion for painting, and Jan, a vivacious art gallery owner, as they navigate the complexities of love and life.
Event Details:
- Date of Reading: Monday, February 26th, 7pm
- Location: Bynx Orlando
- Rehearsals: Read-thru plus two rehearsals TBD between Feb. 11th-25th
Roles Available:
- Jan Bentley (Leading): Mid 20s female, petite, attractive, any ethnicity. Art gallery owner and stage manager volunteer, with a New York City background.
- Steve Brennenschultz (Leading): Late 20s male, tall, good-looking, any ethnicity. Computer business co-owner and secretive painter, taking care of an invalid father.
- Greg Williams (Supporting): Early 30s male, tall, confident, any ethnicity. Co-owns the computer business and manages Steve’s art.
- Anne Bentley (Supporting): 50s female, any ethnicity. Jan’s elitist mother, fighting aging and wanting Jan back in New York.
- Jackie Tort (Supporting): Late 40s female, any ethnicity. The Brennenschultz family lawyer with a Southern accent.
- Monica Brennenschultz (Dayplayer): Early 40s female, any ethnicity. Steve’s supportive sister.
- Male Supporting Track: Plays both Larry (mid-20s, geeky computer volunteer) and Carl Brennenschultz (40s, money-focused brother).
- Female Supporting Track: Plays both Linda Ristori (Early 20s, attractive gallery assistant) and Alexa Brennenschultz (30s, actress sister).
- Stage Directions/Narrator: Voice role for reading stage directions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participation in the scheduled read-thru and two rehearsals.
- Performance in the staged reading on the specified date.
- Collaboration with the director and fellow actors to bring the script to life.
Requirements:
- Previous acting experience preferred (include in resume).
- Availability for rehearsals and the staged reading between Feb. 11th-25th.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative creative environment.
Compensation:
- All actors will receive a $25 stipend for their participation.
