Job Details: Black Rock Senegal is thrilled to announce the opening of applications for the fifth cycle of its esteemed artist residency program. This program offers a unique opportunity for artists from various mediums and nationalities to engage in creative exploration, collaboration, and cultural exchange in the vibrant city of Dakar, Senegal.

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage actively in the residency program, which includes dedicated time for artistic creation and development.
• Participate in community activities, including workshops, exhibitions, and cultural exchange events.
• Collaborate with other artists and local communities, contributing to a dynamic creative environment.
• Document and present your artistic journey and outcomes at the end of the residency.

Requirements:

• Open to artists of all mediums (painting, sculpture, photography, film, writing, etc.).
• Artists from all nationalities are encouraged to apply.
• A demonstrated track record of artistic work and achievement.
• Ability to commit to the full duration of the residency.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to engage with diverse cultures.

Compensation:

• Artists will be provided with studio space, living accommodations, and a stipend to cover living expenses during the residency.
• Travel expenses to and from Senegal will be covered.
• Additional resources and support for art supplies and project-specific needs.
