Job Description
Boston University student filmmakers are casting actors for upcoming medium-length productions designed to meet film festival standards. These student films will be developed, produced, directed, shot, recorded, and edited by BU students and may be incorporated into professional demo reels.
This is an unpaid acting opportunity; however, selected talent will receive a copy of the finished footage for portfolio and reel use. These projects are ideal for actors looking to collaborate on strong storytelling pieces while gaining valuable footage and on-set experience.
Job Responsibilities

Requirements
Project 1: “Qué Te Dije?”

Juan Rivera (Lead): Male, 18+ (must look 15–16), Hispanic, darker facial features. Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license or out-of-state equivalent. Preferably understands Spanish and can speak naturally; all dialects welcome.

Claudia Rivera (Supporting): Female, 35–45, Hispanic, darker facial features. Must speak Spanish; all dialects welcome. Preferably able to use an accent when speaking English. Strong, fierce, and emotionally layered presence required.
Project 2: “Azalea”

Haley Hart (Lead): Female, looks 25–33. Complex character with emotional depth; stubborn yet loyal and loving.

Azalea Hart (Supporting): Older child actor who can believably portray a small 4–5-year-old girl. Non-speaking role. Quiet, observant presence.

Casting Call for Short Film “A Story About the Grief of Who We Are”
Job Description: Funsize Films Group is casting for the short film “A Story About the Grief of Who We Are.” We are seeking a male actor to portray the character Dan. This role is open to union and non-union actors of any race, aged late 20s to early 30s. The film explores deep emotional themes and requires a committed and talented actor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the character Dan authentically, capturing the depth and nuance of his grief.
- Follow the director’s guidance and collaborate with the production team.
- Participate in rehearsals and preparation as required.
- Perform during a one-day shoot scheduled for early to mid-September 2024 in Tiverton, RI.
Requirements:
- Male, any race, aged late 20s to early 30s.
- Strong acting skills with the ability to convey complex emotions.
- Professional attitude and reliability.
- Previous acting experience preferred.

Background Extras for Feature Film
CP Casting is seeking union and non-union actors for background extra work in the feature film Dweller being directed by Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith and filming in central Massachusetts in April and May.
Actors must be able to do very physical work and be comfortable with heavy SFX makeup application… *(i.e. – Zombie looks)
