This role will be part of the ESPN Films team in Bristol and will work with the production team for 30 for 30. This individual will assist all aspects of production, including archive research, logging tape, and managing many types of media.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Search the ESPN video library database
  • Research for various projects/documentaries
  • Log tape / transcribe interviews
  • Digitize tape and other media
  • Managing and facilitating delivery of various types of footage and files for filmmakers

The Production Department produces content for ESPN’s family of networks that fans can watch on television, their computer, tablet or smart phone; examples include SportsCenter, Baseball Tonight and NFL Live.

A Day in the Life:

  • Screens games, select shots and creates shot sheets for assigned highlights
  • Cuts show elements, such as video b-roll, highlights; selects material for bumps and roll-outs
  • May operate studio teleprompter system
  • Provides timely, accurate and complete delivery of multimedia elements and publishes to various platforms
  • Logs and archives video & sound and associated data for future use
  • Researches, writes and disseminates ideas for future content element on ESPN platforms

The CAP PA will rotate through a series of trainings before moving onto higher-level production assignments

• Daily responsibilities include running teleprompter, screening games/events for re-air, producing highlights, researching video content for various shows, and live event support • Multitasks to screen games and select shots for highlights; works with Editor to bring highlight to completion • Screen and edit live event content for various re-air time slots • Provides timely, accurate and complete delivery of multimedia content and publishes to various platforms • Coordinate graphics for assigned studio telecasts or remote events • Screens videotapes and/or servers and conducts research to obtain material for the preparation of production elements • Logs and archives video and associated data for future use • Researches, writes and disseminates ideas for future content elements on ESPN platforms

 

Contribute to many aspects of Bristol-based guest booking (selecting and contacting) for ESPN’s news and information studio shows. Coordinate guest booking (remote and in-studio) with other ESPN entities, including Radio, Event, Dotcom and Digital Media. Take direction from and consistently communicate/share information with director and talent producers to provide a strong team atmosphere. Contribute to planning booking projects and provide a consistently heavy load of quality guests and ideas to various shows.

Directs television productions by coordinating the information about the show before it airs, then disseminating that information to the crew involved during the broadcast. They will need to be a team builder who has good technical skills.

ESPN’s Digital Show Creation unit – the team behind SportsCenter on Snapchat, Always Late with Katie Nolan and more – is looking to hire an associate producer responsible for helping produce new digital shows at ESPN.

The ideal candidate will be creative, self-motivated, and proficient in the Adobe edit suite with an eye for creative social design. In addition, they’ll have a deep understanding of what successful content looks like in social media and ideas about how to apply that to ESPN platforms.

The Associate Produce I Digital/YouTube is tasked with the production and editing of trending video content on ESPN-branded channels across social and ESPN Digital Platforms. This role requires a commanding knowledge of digital media distribution and content creation. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and constantly innovating their approach to content technically, tactically, and creatively.
