According to reports, the Black Panther comic book has sold a quarter of a million physical copies, and that’s not the whole story. Comic-book publishers don’t generally report sales of digital copies, so the total is slightly off. In addition, reorders or reissues have not been counted yet. And when you compare Black Panther comic book sales to other comic books, Black Panther has sold nearly 500% more copies.

Black Panther is a different type of comic book character. Black Panther focuses on the history of Africa and the idea of a reclusive society that has no interest in outsiders. T’Challa being a royal descendent of a warrior race is also a master of armed combat, able to use a variety of weapons but prefers unarmed combat. He is a master planner who always thinks several steps ahead and will go to extreme measures to achieve his goals and protect the kingdom of Wakanda.
