‘Bourne 5‘ is now casting background extras in Las Vegas and casting directors are looking for you but, you may have to forgo a paycheck.
Typically a background extra earns at least minimum wage to work on a production. In fact, in Atlanta, Georgia the median compensation for a background acting job is $8 dollars an hour with $64 dollars garunteed. However, Matt Damon’s next movie is not paying their background extras.
According to OLV, casting directors are giving movie fans the chance to join the cast and crew in the next movie in the Bourne movie series, starring Matt Damon and Tommy Lee Jones but, background actors will not be paid.
Bourne 5 will film in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 14th, 15th, 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st and producers are looking for a ton of extras to appear in the movie. In fact, anyone over 18 years old is welcome to apply and have a chance to appear in the new movie. This is not a paid gig, but all extras will have the chance to work along side Matt Damon and meals will be provided.
According to BeInAMovie.com, casting directors are looking for men and women that are interested to work for free on the new movie.
Details surrounding the new Bourne 5 movie have not been released however, Matt Damon did share details about Bourne 5. “There’s been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyberwarfare and civil liberties,” he told EW. “We find him in a dark and tortured place.”
Matt Damon has been in hot water recently, especially following HBO’s Project Greenlight in which he said diversity only belongs in front of the camera and not behind the camera. This launched an entire media blitz with many African American people turning their back on the producer and actor.
