Megan Fox‘s new movie ‘Midnight in the Switchgrass‘ is forced to shutdown production due to the Coronavirus COVID-19.
According to TMZ, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s new movie was forced to shut down due to Coronavirus COVID-19.
Megan and Machine Gun Kelly met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass earlier this year in Puerto Rico but, production shut down in March due to the Coronavirus. After a hiatus, the cast and crew returned in July to film the movie and established COVID-19 protocols to make the cast and crew are safe. However, TMZ reports two people still tested positive for COVID-19. The two people were asymptomatic and quarantined, but production decided to stop filming.
The movie’s director Randall Emmett is planning on filming the movie in Santa Barbara in the next few weeks.
Midnight in the Switchgrass is a forthcoming crime thriller film directed by Randall Emmett in his directorial debut from a screenplay by Alan Horsnail. The movie stars Emile Hirsch, Megan Fox, Bruce Willis, Lukas Haas, Sistine Stallone, Colson Baker, and Michael Beach.
The upcoming movie is based on the true story of a Texas serial killer. FBI agent Karl Helter (played by Bruce Willis) and his partner Rebecca Lombardi (played by Megan Fox) are very close to shutting down a sex-trafficking ring. When they realize their investigation has crossed the path of a dangerous serial killer, they join up with Texas Ranger Byron Crawford (Emile Hirsch), who has years on this case. When their target abducts Rebecca herself, and her life hangs in the balance, Karl and Byron have a few hours to piece together the last clues and put an end to the infamous ‘Truck Stop Killer’.
In relevant news, a crew member was shot by police and others were held at gunpoint while working on Andrea Riseborough movie Geechee.
Production for the movie was quickly shut down this past week after one crew member was shot multiple times and man others were held at gunpoint by police in the Dominican Republic. The incident is currently under investigation but, according to reports, it is a case of mistaken identity. The crew member who was shot has been released from the hospital, but most of the people involved have reportedly left the island.
