‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’: How to Audition for a Speaking Role on the Upcoming Harry Potter Spinoff!
It was recently reported that Warner Bros. wanted to once again to tap into the Harry Potter franchise with a spinoff in the popular books and movie series.
This will be the Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling’s screenwriting debut on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and will be based on the Hogwarts textbook that appears in the very first Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone.Â
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be based on a book written by author J. K. Rowling about the magical creatures in the Harry Potter universe. It is supposed to be Harry Potter’s copy of the textbook of the same name mentioned in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (published as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the US), the first novel of the Harry Potter series.
In a 2001 interview with publisher Scholastic, Rowling stated that she chose Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them because subject of magical creatures because it was a fun topic for which she had already developed a lot of information in earlier books. Rowling’s name does not appear on the cover of the book, the work being credited under the pseudonym “Newt Scamander”.
On September 12, 2013, Warner Bros. and Rowling announced they will be producing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them inspired by the book, being the first in a new trilogy. Rowling herself will be the screenwriter. She came up with a plan for a movie after Warner Bros. suggested the idea. The story will feature Newt Scamander as a main character and will be set in New York, 70 years before Harry’s story starts.
Warner Bros. plans on creating a series of films that will feature new and exciting magical creatures and characters from the Potter world with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them being the first of several new movies.
Now, Warner Bros. reports they plan on releasing the new Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on November 18, 2016.

Due to the popularity of Harry Potter , producers have kept a tight lid on extra casting call opportunity as well as speaking role opportunities. However, according to IMDB, the principal casting director for ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is Fiona Weir of Fiona Weir Casting. She is also the casting director behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1 and Part 2.
