Job Description
A high-profile fashion showcase hosted by Columbia Business School’s Retail & Luxury Goods group is seeking two experienced Hair and Makeup Artists (HMUAs) to work with models for an upcoming runway event. This opportunity is ideal for beauty professionals looking to gain experience in a fashion-forward environment while collaborating with industry-recognized sponsors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide hair and makeup services for 8–10 models participating in the fashion showcase
  • Execute runway-ready looks aligned with the event’s creative direction
  • Work efficiently within a fast-paced backstage environment
  • Collaborate with stylists, designers, and event coordinators
  • Ensure all models are prepared and polished prior to runway time

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Hair and Makeup Artist, preferably in fashion or runway settings
  • Ability to manage multiple clients within a limited timeframe
  • Strong understanding of current beauty and fashion trends
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work in a team environment
  • Must bring own tools and products unless otherwise specified
