Channing Tatum does not sound too excited about working on the new 23 Jump Street movie.
According to recent reports, Channing Tatum is not looking forward to making a 22 Jump Street sequel. In 2012, 21 Jump Street made $201 million at the box office. Then, 22 Jump street made $327 million in nthe box office. Consequently, Sony and Columbia pictures decided that audiences would love to see a 23 Jump Street movie. Chris Miller and Phil Lord are attached to produce the sequel but, the most surprising announcement was Tatum’s lack of enthusiasm for working on 23 Jump Street.
“College was the obvious next step for us. We had to go there. I don’t know what the next step is after college. Do we go and take down Enron? Or the government in D.C.? I feel like it’s all redundant. The big running joke of the second movie is this is just going to be bigger and (crappier) than the first time. I don’t know if that joke works three times so we’ll see.” (Via USA Today)
Unless the next sequel is a horrible movie, expect 23 Jump Street to do extremely well in the box office. Allowing us the chance to see 25 Jump Street: Semester at Sea.
