Yoo Eun Kim

Hi, my name is Yoo Eun (the first name is pronounced like Ewan McGregor, the guy who played Obi Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars Prequel films), and I have experience with background acting and screenplay writing. As a former teacher I understand the importance of diversity and representation in child development. I taught middle school math to students of color and coached elementary school educators on implementing culturally-responsive pedagogy. Considering the power of media on viewers and my own childhood wish to see someone like myself on television/movies/commercials, I am drawn to opportunities that elevate characters and narratives focusing on the Asian American experience. Exposure to positive Asian American representation will help create kinder communities in which children of all backgrounds can learn to be their authentic selves. In my spare time, I love to run, write, draw, play tennis, and take pictures of great works of architecture! :)
