About:
“L’Nay” , is a singer, songwriter, actress and playwright, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She made her acting debut in the stage play “An Intimate Days Shadow” where she played the role of Mama Hawkins and also wrote and produced all of the music for that production. “L’Nay” has also starred in numerous stage play productions, which includes, “Deceived", “The Mistress Club”, “Misery Mess and Miracles”, “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and “Can You Love Me Now?” In 2015, she had the opportunity to work with, singer, songwriter and playwright, Zuri Craig in his first production, “The Perfect Pastor” as Ms. Charlotte. Which featured, R&B sensation, KeKe Wyatt and Sunday’s Best winner, LeAndria Johnson. In 2017 she returned as Ms. Charlotte, in the “The House That Misery Built”, which featured gospel sensations, the late great LaShun Pace of the “The Anointed Pace Sisters”, Kierra Sheard, Grammy Award winning, Q. Parker of the R&B group 112, Tyler Perry’s “Big Happy Family” Jeffrey Lewis who was also a part of the Craig Lewis Band and Lil’ G from the R&B group, Silk. In early 2019, she was casted as the “Super Producer” in the stage play production, “She Married The Ring & Forgot The Man”. This production was an all-star cast which featured Q. Parker of the group 112, former Baltimore Ravens NFL player, Stevie Baggs Jr, artist developer, Jevon Dewan, Brad James from Tyler Perry’s “For Better or Worse”, Sunday’s Best winner, Y’Anna Crawley and the phenomenal pastor, Pastor Mark Couch. Later that same year, she was casted in a dual role in Zuri Craig’s “The Truth About Black Men” which included and starred, Don “Bishop Don” Brumfield of VH1’s Black Ink Chicago, The R&B group, The Hamiltones and from Tyler Perry’s “Love Thy Neighbor”, Patrice Lovely. In late 2019, she was casted and co-starred in the stage play, “My Sister’s Secret”. In this production, she once again had the opportunity to write and perform her own song. Also in 2019, she had her first experience working with playwrights, Traz & Tomeka Bennett Tiller of Tillervision Productions in the production, “HO”sea. In 2021, “L’Nay” joined the cast of Palmer Williams Jr’s, “For The Love Of Money”. In 2023, she played First Lady Kim in the stage play production, “When A Good Man Falls” written by Anitra Bell-Gary and “Thou Shalt Not Prey” written by Johnnie Busch, portraying the “Etta James”. In 2024, she was chosen by Palmer Williams Jr to play the leading lady, Elizabeth Bonner in another one of his productions, “Get Your House In Order”. L’Nay returned to the stage in 2025 portraying the “Mavis Staples” in the stage play parody, “Good Grief” written by Johnnie Busch. In 2025, “L'Nay” completed her first script that will hit the stage in 2026. As a vocalist, “L’Nay” has enough energy to power a small fleet of motor vehicles. It’s a fuel that burns full-throttle, ignited by the heat of her soulful voice and the power and passion of her performance. Her music is honest and always real. Just as straight forward as her attitude to that music. Phrases turn, emotions connect and melodies soar. You sing along even if you’ve never heard the tune before. As an actress, “L’Nay” takes on roles that will challenge and demand change in how you react in certain situations. Her roles will always have you laughing, sometimes crying, and wanting to be a part of the audience that’s experiencing her presence on stage. Staying true to her Georgia roots, “L’Nay” writes and performs songs that “feel good and are positive”. Her motto is, “When opportunity doesn’t present itself, you must create an opportunity”.
