WILLIAM BANKS

William John Banks is an Australian-British professional dancer, performer, actor and model based in London, with an extensive career spanning film, television, theatre, fashion, music and commercial work. A graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), William began his professional career with West Australian Ballet before establishing an international career across multiple performance disciplines with Tanzkompanie St. Gallen, Ballet Graz, Tanzcompagnie Gießen, Bayerische Staatsoper, Salzburger Festspiele, and Opéra de Monte-Carlo His screen credits include Barbie, Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, Spider-Man, and Ed Sheeran’s “Azizam” music video, alongside numerous film and television productions for Netflix and Paramount . He has also appeared in commercial campaigns, including work for Marks & Spencer. William’s performance career extends across Broadway, London’s West End and live entertainment, as well as high-profile fashion and editorial work. He has performed for London Fashion Week and worked with Vogue, bringing his strong classical foundation, versatility and distinctive physicality to fashion, live performance and camera. With professional experience spanning ballet, commercial, contemporary and screen performance, William is a highly versatile performer who combines exceptional technical training with strong musicality, physical presence and an ability to adapt seamlessly to different styles, characters and creative environments. Alongside his work as a performer, William also works in movement direction and choreography, drawing on his extensive experience in dance and screen performance to contribute creatively both in front of and behind the camera.
