Will McManus

I am an enthusiastic 29-year old equine science graduate, with many years' experience working with horses in the UK and Botswana, Italy and the United States. I have greatly enjoyed the opportunities given to me including travelling around the world, whilst working with horses but I would now enjoy a more settled life/role where I can bring together the experiences and skills I have learnt. My previous experience includes BSc in Equine Science and grooming in a variety of disciplines of racing, dressage, eventing and showjumping whilst alongside riding my own horses and for other people. I have learnt to work at a high standard, often under pressure and to specific deadlines. Often, in my roles, I have had to provide a link between my team and clients, interpreting complex and technical information and discussing it in plain and accessible language. My drive and ambition comes from being able to set and follow short and medium-term goals, which provides a sense of achievement with the successful completion of each role. While I am able to prioritise and work towards these goals, I am also able to reevaluate and change with changing circumstances. I have the confidence to work alone but am also happy working within and leading a team ensuring that, collectively, we deliver quality. These opportunities have allowed me to continue to grow as a person, experience new technology and learn new ways of working. With each new role, I have been able to develop new professional relationships; I enjoy meeting new people and working in different cultures, learning all I can from colleagues and taking the time to explore the areas I'm in.
