Todd LaRue

I have been a teacher (community college adjunct for history and government for twenty years) and high school and middle school CPS special education teacher for twenty-five years plus. I have led bands for a little longer than that, playing guitar and singing songs I wrote. Before that I played drums and guitar in other bands but I don't consider myself a musician - I'm admittedly not very skilled at that. Fortunately, musicians like to play my songs with me! I took some acting and improv lessons many years ago. There are some youtube videos out there that my students find every year. I have a B.A. in Economics from Illinois State, a M.A. in Russian History and a M. Ed in Middle School and High School (Social Studies subjects) from DePaul, a post-Master's Special Education certification, and a Paralegal Certification in Civil Litigation from Roosevelt U. and I think that's it! For what it's worth, I'm researching U.S. history and plan to write a series of books when I have time.
