Taufiq DeMartino

This is Taufiq DeMartino. And I am extremely excited about the prospect this application could yield. Regarding, whatever outcome is actually realized, I thank you for the opportunity, your time, and care. “The DeMartino Double Bunch” that is what I call us. I was the fifth born child in my family, followed by seven more. My parents are still on their first marriage and now happily living in Grand Blanc, MI. I grew up in Charlestown, RI and since the legal age of employment I have been working. Throughout those years I have worked as a Carpenter’s Assistant and as a Host for special events at the Meadowbrook Inn. After receiving my General Equivalency Diploma, I continued to work. First, in a local independently owned small retail gift shop (Zero Wampum) as a Data Entry Clerk and also for Belmont Fruit Market, in their wholesale produce department. During those years my main focus was work, personal exploration, family and friend relations. In February 2008 I moved to Santa Cruz, California to be with my wife Hana Sperling and start school. She was working at Santa Cruz Bio Technology and graduated in 2009 with a B.S., from UCSC. Her plan was to become a Clinical Pharmacist. In the year of 2011, I finished my A.A. at the beautiful junior college, Cabrillo of Aptos. In September we moved to Seattle because my wife was accepted into the Pharmacy Program at UW. I enrolled at UW also in 2013 to complete a B.A. in Political Science. Upon completion of our degrees we relocated back to Santa Cruz, CA in Summer 2015 and decided to start a family.
