Tanya Brown

43 years old. Born and bred in New Orleans, LA, currently living in my home city. I’ve traveled around the world and have lived in various places including Los Angeles, NYC, Boston, Miami, the Florida Keys, Costa Rica, Brazil, Alaska and New Hampshire. I speak fluent Portuguese and can speak and understand most Spanish. I am an avid skateboarder, my main and preferred means of transportation. I also love the ocean and to surf. I am a mother to a beautiful girl, Malu, 15 years old. I worked in aviation for 15 years as a flight attendant and just last year decided after a bad car accident to change careers and pursue my artistic skills and jumpstart a business of my own, doing what I love, creating. I’ve been drawing and painting all of my life and use it as a place to escape when the going gets rough. I recently in the last 10 years started creating works with mixed media and love it! I took the leap of faith and quit my job of 15 years to pursue selling mg work. I LOVE my home city of New Orleans, and although I will definitely travel throughout my life and take temporary short term leaves, I plan to remain a resident of my city forever! I am skilled in many areas in the arts and have a gift of a very creative eye. I can transform just about any space or object from that of grotesque to beauty. I also adore music, it’s a huge part of my being. I play the harmonica and love to sing.
