Sopiko Gvimradze
About:
Sophiko Gvimradze is an actress, performing arts MA graduate, musician, poet, and performer, also known by her musical alias TINDRA. She was born on June 21, 1997, in Tbilisi, Georgia.
She studied Drama Acting at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University from 2016 to 2020, followed by a Master’s degree in Performing Arts (Pedagogy) from 2020 to 2022. She is currently taking her first — and most meaningful — steps in pedagogical practice.
After graduating, Sophiko began collaborating with Haraki, one of Georgia’s first independent theatre companies. Following one of her early projects, she became a member of P.A. Laboratory. Later, together with friends, she co-founded an original course titled AOP, focused on mastering performing arts techniques. The course is hosted by CES Creative Education Studio and Mutant Radio.
For Sophiko, the essence of acting lies in sharing — the journey from laboratory-based artistic research to genuine emotional exchange with the audience. She believes that truly listening to the pulse of the person who is watching and listening in that very moment is one of the most vital elements of the actor’s craft.
Music has always been her most intuitive and mysterious field. Despite having no formal musical education, her poetry gradually demanded sound and rhythm. At the age of 25, through close collaboration with friends, TINDRA emerged on stage as a synthesis of theatre, poetry, and experimental electronic music.
