Writing has always been a passion of mine, the way a sequence of words can be so captivating has always baffled me. Truthfully ,though, my favourite part has always been developing a character and then telling a story from their point of view. I never realised that this was not the only way to do this, that via a mesmirising process called acting, someone can breath life into a character. However, the words one says and the way they are spoken are not the only factors relevant to making a character real, there is hair and makeup and clothing to consider. When I was offered the role of Scheharazade I was expected to think about all of this, a challenge but one I happily accepted. Now that my time playing her is over, I look forward to whatever new character I can play. Hero or villain. Protagonist or sidekick. On screen or off.
