Sophia Sherman

Sophia has been in love with the stage since she landed her first non-speaking part at 6 yrs old . Since then, she has been growing her acting skills, participating in more than 15 regional productions, including Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Jr., Newsies and more. She was able to showcase her strong singing ability in regional title roles of "Matilda", "Willy Wonka", and Beauty in "Beauty and the Beast". Some of her favorite roles include Summer in "School or Rock" and Ghost of Christmas Past in "A Christmas Carol". This summer she was accepted into the Eugene O'Neill Junior Fellowship program and recently has been granted a scholarship with the Ensign-Darling Future Voices Fellowship at the Bushnell Theater, in Hartford, CT. While the stage is her first love, Sophia has also enjoyed working in film and TV. She has acted as BG in feature films, and also appeared as a guest child star in Sesame Street's "The Not Too Late Show with Elmo", which will remain one of her most favorite memories and is arguably the most fun one would have on a set. Sophia loves singing most of all and thrives in positive, artistic spaces. Sophia also has interest in voiceover work, which she got a taste of during "Elmo" and enjoys modelling as well. She looks forward to expanding her stage and film/TV experiences as she grows. Outside of acting, Sophia is a seasoned athlete, playing on ice-hockey and lacrosse.
