Sonya Ayers is a 19 year old full time student at San Diego Mesa College. She has been performing on stage since the age of four, beginning her artistic journey in ballet and quickly developing a lifelong passion for the performing arts. Throughout middle school and high school, Sonya has appeared in numerous productions, including Hairspray Jr., The Wiz Jr., Les Misérables, Pippin, Frozen Jr., and Romeo and Juliet. Now attending San Diego Mesa College, she has appeared in Just Like Us, Little Shoes, and holding the position of Stage Manager for Much Ado About Nothing. In addition to her theatrical work, she has been an active member of the Bel Canto Choir and Schola Cantorum during her junior and senior year of high school, earning two varsity letters for her participation and competing at the state level in New Mexico.
