Shweta Marathe

Shweta Marathe is an Animation Film Director and Design Educator based in Mumbai. She graduated from the National Institute of Design (NID-AP) in 2021, specialising in Communication Design. Her films and collaborations have been awarded and screened at national and international film festivals, and she has been an Honorary Member of ASIFA Central (USA) since 2023. She takes pride in her role as a Tribe Advisor for Sony Talent League (STL III), Industry Advice Series - for Asians in Animation (AIA), and co-leads Women In Animation, India Collective (WIA-IC) to support and celebrate women’s creative talent. In 2024, Shweta co-founded Skyluma Productions®, a film production studio dedicated to producing and supporting high-quality independent cinema. She is currently seeking assistant casting opportunities to further expand her experience within the film industry.
