Shenita Golder is an American R&B singer and performer known for her contributions to the music and theater scenes. Shenita was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has collaborated with various artists and participated in musical productions. Shenita has graced the stage with Kaidydid Production performing the legendary stage productions The Color Purple, Dream Girls and Motown Christmas. She has recently filmed three short films with Indianapolis local production company Pearls production and Stage play The Room. Shenita Golder was signed to J Records under Clive Davis with national recording 3 girl group Lyric. In 2002, Lyric released their first single Young & Sexy aired on 106 & Park, It was also featured on the record-breaking, platinum-selling video game soundtrack, NBA Live 2003 and in the 2002 film, The Hot Chick. Notably, Golder was featured on the track “Me & You” by the gospel hip-hop group Righteous Riders, showcasing her vocal talents in the genre. Additionally, she provided backing vocals for Lyfe Jennings’ 2008 album “Lyfe Change.” In 2023, Golder was part of the cast for “Legends,” a musical tribute honoring iconic Black female artists, performed at On Stage Live! at the Luxe in Greenwood, Indiana. Her involvement in such productions highlights her versatility and dedication to celebrating musical legends.
