Following my extensive experience and 5 years at sea, I spent the past 20 years as a primary school teacher — a career that further honed my communication, organisation, and leadership skills, as well as my ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. These experiences have strengthened my capacity to connect with people from all walks of life, anticipate needs, and uphold a high standard of professionalism in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Beyond the classroom and the yachts, I have always had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and adventure. One of the boys in outdoor education at high school to becoming an experienced and university trained outdoor education specialist with extensive skills including: snowboarding, scuba-diving, horse-riding, abseiling, boating, wakeboarding, kayaking, off-grid camping, sailing, and canyoning. I thrive in physically demanding environments (including off-grid camping with my horse for days) and strongly believe that age is no barrier — at 48 years young, I bring fun, energy, and enthusiasm to every pursuit, both on and off the water. I’m well-known for being energetic, hard-working, fun & very entertaining! Now eager to return to the ocean, I bring with me a mature, grounded perspective and a deep appreciation for teamwork, adventure, and service excellence. Known for my energetic, approachable nature, positive attitude, and proactive mindset, I take pride in creating a warm and welcoming environment where people feel genuinely cared for and supported, while creating fun! I’m excited to combine my hospitality expertise, teaching background, wisdom of life and love of the outdoors and the ocean in a professional, service-focused team at sea once again.
