Raquel Bella Mae Pillay

Raquel Bella Mae Pillay, is a dedicated performing arts student at the University of KwaZulu Natal, where she hones her skills in dance, acting, and theatrical performance. Her previous high school recognised her dedication towards the creative and dramatic arts and awarded her the “The Spinelli Bauer trophy for Combined Arts,” alongside UKZN half-colours for performing arts. With a passion for the arts deeply ingrained in her soul, Raquel has graced the stage of Sibiya isiZulu Theatre with her captivating Afro fusion dance performances, captivating audiences with her skillful movements and expressive storytelling. Beyond the stage, Raquel has also made her mark in the world of cinema, starring in two notable films, such as “Broken Promises 4ever,” at the young age of 12, as well as a captivating short film, “Playtime,” with director Ashwin Singh, that showcased her versatility as an actress. With a commitment to excellence and a drive to push artistic boundaries, Raquel continues to inspire and entertain audiences.
