Paul Toledo

Pablo Maya Toledo, known professionally as Paul, is a 35-year-old actor and voiceover artist based in Roaring River, North Carolina. With a playing range of late 20s to early 40s, he is drawn to intense, morally complex characters — villains with a code, and the complicated figures audiences can't look away from. Paul's performance roots go back to the annual Christmas church plays of his childhood, where he appeared every year and earned genuine applause for a solo. Known for his comedy, quick reactions, and instinct for playing off scene partners, he trains with unusual discipline: studying iconic screen performances, reinterpreting the dialogue in his own voice, and recording take after take until the delivery is exact. He is interested in film, television, commercials, background and featured extra work, dialogue roles, stand-in and doubling work, and voiceover/ADR. His professional background is in traffic control, where he serves as a team lead — years of 16- to 18-hour days in all weather have made him the performer who shows up early, takes direction without ego, and doesn't quit. His schedule is built for production: weekends open, weekdays arrangeable, and fully open to last-minute calls, 4 a.m. call times, holidays, 12 hour days, overnights, and multi-day shoots. Physically, Paul is 5'4", 155 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes (shirt M, jacket M, pants 32/30, shoe men's 10, glove S; no tattoos or piercings; small arm scars). A former track runner, he does 10 pull-ups, holds a 30-second pull-up, rides bicycles, and is CPR and first aid certified. He drives manual transmission — cars, farm and utility vehicles, scooters, and even a locomotive — and holds a valid driver's license with a clean background check. He is authorized to work in the United States, is non-union, and will join SAG-AFTRA when eligible. His performance skills include a wide vocal range from softer, higher registers to deep, lower ones (open to dialect coaching), a home voiceover setup with microphone and quiet recording space, and complete teleprompter comfort — he can read in any direction, including upside down. He can produce real tears with preparation, improvises readily, takes direction well, and has a rare specialty: through controlled breathing, he can lie so still he convincingly plays a corpse. Paul is a strong fit for demanding set work: light stunts, choreographed fights, controlled falls, stunt-driving passenger work (willing to try wire work), green screen and motion capture, SFX makeup and prosthetics, adhesives, fangs, fake blood including in-mouth work, temporary tattoos, fake piercings, wigs, and spray tans. He is comfortable with prop weapons (no military, law-enforcement, or firearms background), horror, smoke and fog, strobe lights, simulated smoking, drug use and intoxication, and profanity in scripts — and he is comfortable being lifted or carried. Paul travels statewide across North Carolina in his reliable all-wheel-drive Honda CR-V, is willing to relocate, and will obtain a passport for the right opportunity. He is open to paid and unpaid student and independent projects for experience and reel building, and is willing to learn motorcycles, boats, and jet skis. Boundaries: no full nudity, no swimming roles; no formal dance training, and while willing to try singing, he doesn't present himself as a trained singer.
