About:
Olivia Innaco is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher from Shelton, Connecticut. Dance found her at the young age of three, when she began training in ballet, tap, and jazz at her local dance studio. Over the years, her training expanded to include hip hop, street jazz, modern, and contemporary styles—each shaping her artistic journey and fueling her constant desire for growth, both as a performer and as an individual.
Olivia credits much of her success to the guidance of her teachers and mentors, who helped her understand the importance of being a well-rounded professional dancer. After high school, she further honed her skills in street styles with Double Up Dance Company, under the mentorship of Paul Herman. She also studied Contemporary, Modern, and West African dance at Eastern Connecticut State University, where she earned degrees in Dance and World Performance, as well as Exercise Science. Her training continues in New York City, where she attends classes at premiere studios like Broadway Dance Center, Brickhouse, and Peridance Center. Olivia is also a member of Royal Thieves, under the direction of Deshawn Da Prince. Olivia has also participated in prestigious programs by industry professionals such as Luam Keflezgy’s Enclave, Menina Fortunato’s Business of Dance, and Ryan Miller’s Find Your Life Intensive. Additionally, she holds a Comprehensive Pilates Certification from the Equinox Pilates Training Institution.
Notable performances in Olivia’s career include Choreographer’s Carnival, Club NYC, the Westchester Knicks Halftime Performance, and Brickhouse NYC Open House. She has had the privilege of working with renowned choreographers such as Paul Herman, Erick “Strykeforce” Footman, and Satoko Mori. Olivia has also performed alongside emerging music artists at events in Los Angeles and New York, including The Loft Music Festival, hosted by Donnie Klang. Her on-camera experience includes appearances in music videos such as Pia Vasquez’s “Ahora Lloras” and Ali Berke’s “19 Through 20”, directed by Nick Terrana. In addition to performing, Olivia has had numerous opportunities to teach and choreograph for her university’s video and stage productions.
Olivia’s dancing is characterized by a keen ear for musicality and a strong attention to detail. She is adept at balancing dynamics and energy, seamlessly shifting between sharp and smooth, fast and slow, or masculine and feminine expressions, depending on the demands of the music and choreography. Olivia’s versatility is one of her defining qualities, as is her ability to be a collaborative and supportive presence in any creative environment. She prioritizes being a good student and approaches challenges with eagerness to learn more.
Beyond her performance career, Olivia is passionate about building meaningful connections within her community. As a dance teacher, she works with students of all ages and backgrounds, gaining new perspectives on both dance and life with each class. She also shares her knowledge as a certified Pilates instructor, using this method to help others build strength, confidence, and wellness. Olivia is particularly proud of her work with Mombies, a group of mothers in Fairfield, Connecticut, who partner with The Cancer Couch to raise funds for metastatic breast cancer research, where she assisted Paul Herman in leading dance rehearsals for the group. Olivia believes that one of the most important aspects of being an artist is finding ways to give back to others. Through her teaching, choreography, and Pilates instruction, she strives to pass on the gifts that have been given to her.
Olivia’s journey has instilled in her an unwavering work ethic, a strong sense of self, and an enduring drive to evolve as both an artist and a person. Driven by her passion for dance and life, Olivia remains committed to becoming the best version of herself and inspiring others along the way.
