I am a Haitian-American woman born and raised in North Miami, Fl. I left Miami in 2010 to attend the greatest HBCU that sits on the highest of 7hills(lol), Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Fl. I enjoyed my college experience being around black people, like myself, that wanted to make a name for themselves and build in our community. I recently moved to New York in February 2020 to pursue a career in the film industry, taking a leap of faith, knowing it would not be easy. I am someone who strives to want to build and change, and be an inspiration to young women. I never had real role models and had plenty of people, women particularly to guide me as young woman. Film, dance, poetry, and art were my inspiration. I want to be a representation to my Haitians that we too can do more than the norm, step out of our "parents' security" comfort zone. And I feel like this is the time to go all in.
