Nissi V

Born and raised in North Miami, Florida, I am a Haitian-American actor and creative who has always found inspiration through storytelling, film, dance, poetry, and the arts. In 2010, I left Miami to attend Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU), where I was surrounded by a community of Black creatives, leaders, and innovators who inspired me to think beyond what was familiar and build a life rooted in purpose. In 2020, I took a leap of faith and moved to New York City to pursue a career in film and entertainment. My journey as an artist is deeply connected to my Haitian-American identity and my desire to tell stories that reflect the complexity, resilience, humor, and humanity of our communities. As an actor, I strive to bring authenticity, vulnerability, and intention to every role. I hope to not only create meaningful work but also inspire young women—particularly within the Haitian and broader Black community—to step outside of their comfort zones, pursue their dreams, and see themselves represented in spaces they may have never imagined occupying. I am here to tell stories, create boldly, and go all in.
