MK Rotenberry

MK Rotenberry in 90 seconds: I graduated from Abilene Christian University with an inter-disciplinary studies degree in Mass Communication / Journalism and Sport and Recreation Management, with honors. After signing to “walk on” with the basketball team, I decided not to pursue that path, which proved to be a great decision as I began working as a spotter for CBS golf during my second year. My “untraditional” path has included 4 seasons of NCAA football sideline reporting on radio, working as a runner with Tracy Wolfson at the Final Four and Evan Washburn at Super Bowl LIII, providing research for both Golf Channel and CBS Golf talent in on-course towers, working as a researcher/on-course assistant to Dottie Pepper and sideline producing Jenny Dell for three seasons on both SEC on CBS and BIG on CBS. I enjoy playing basketball, golf, volleyball, pickle ball and can juggle, bowl and throw a great 35- yard spiral. I also enjoy running and snow skiing. Through my experiences I have learned the various facets of sports production and the rhythms of live broadcasts; however, my talent and interest in sports broadcasting lie more in sideline reporting, interviews and sports related human interest stories. I work more than is required with a positive attitude accompanied by a great smile.
