About:
Melanie LoBue is a Shelter Island native and experienced performer with a background in theatre, film, directing, and live music. A theatre major at Fairfield University, she performed extensively on stage before going on to teach high school theatre and direct multiple productions. She later played the lead in No Finish Lines, the 2015 overall winner of New Amsterdam Vodka’s “It’s Your Town” Film Series. Today, Melanie performs professionally as the lead singer and guitarist for Riptide. A lifelong connection to Shelter Island brings an authentic familiarity with the community and the people who call it home.
