Max Schafer

Max Schafer has 45 years teaching improvisation with the most acclaimed leaders of improvisation and improvisers, including Viola Spolin, Paul Sills, Laura Hall, Alan Arkin, Fred Kaz. He is an acclaimed author on improvisation (Viola Spolin’s Theater Games for the Classroom CD) and teaches in Japan, Brazil, London, Rome, Belfast, Turkey, all over the US, at teacher conventions, for the blind, for special needs students, for very young children, for professional actors, and is a musical director for Musical Improv. He has created “Max’s Musical Improv” board game. He runs the Musical Improv network and the World Spolin Network on Facebook.
