Maria Gaunt

My name is Maria Gaunt and I have been an aspiring actress since I was 5 years old. I love the idea of reading about a character and being able to bring who they are to life. I read a lot of books in my spare time and I have always fantasized about portraying the characters I read about in film. Although I’ve always dreamed of becoming an actress, I have little to no experience in any film related jobs. Growing up, I moved almost every year due to my father’s work. It was difficult to deeply involved with agencies near where I lived, so I didn’t have the best opportunity to fully invest time into my dream. During my years in middle and high school, I really took a liking to drama and auditioned for several plays. I always enjoyed acting in theater and have always had a desire for acting. Unfortunately, I have allowed the “norm” of life dictate where my life path has gone and have lost sight of who I am in the process. As I have reached a certain age recently, I’ve done a lot of reflecting and have decided that I want to give chasing my dreams another go. I know I don’t have a lot of film experience, but I am extremely passionate about the field and want to learn everything I can about it. I am a fast learner, and have a great attention to detail. I’ve always been great with memorizing lines and identifying/relating to characters. I would love any opportunity to be able to showcase that have the skill sets to bring any character to life and really capture the vision of a producer/writer. I’m finally taking the time needed from work/current obligations to be able to focus on chasing this dream of becoming an actress, and I am ready to do whatever it takes to reach that goal.
