Margaret Anne Williams

Margaret Anne Williams is an artist, photographer, actor, vocalist, theatrical designer/technician, and creative writer from Lake Zurich, Illinois. Williams graduated from North Central College, holding a BA in Theatre and Theatrical Design/Technology, as well as a minor in Studio Art. She has been involved with the fine arts since she was a little girl. Her lifelong passion for animals and environmentalism are demonstrated in a majority of her artwork. Williams was awarded 2nd Place in Digital Photography by the 13th Annual Chicago Awards Art Exhibition (2012). Williams offers a unique perspective to acting and singing. She can play eighteen to thirty-eight year old characters ranging from naïve to mature and dramatic to comedic. Her vocal range is mezzo soprano. Williams played Yente in ELA Theatre’s Fiddler on the Roof (2009) and Nellie in Guys & Dolls (2010). She played Jess in an original student-written play called Beneath the Surface by Lake Zurich High School’s Studio Theatre class (2012). The production was based off a series of student interviews in which she wrote and directed a scene. Her technical specialties are in stagecraft, scenic art, scenic design, and lighting design. Williams was a lighting designer for Lake Zurich High School’s Peter Pan (2014). She was also Scenic Designer for North Central College’s Songs For a New World (2019). Williams was awarded the first International Honors Thespian (1800 work hours) at Lake Zurich High School (2014).
