Marcus Davis

Marcus Davis spent 22 years as a 3 sport professional athlete. Winning 2 US titles he was a pro Boxer, Kickboxer, and MMA fighter. In 1993 he attended the Maine Criminal Justice Academy, reserve officer training and is a former corrections officer. In 1995 he became both a professional boxer and a certified personal trainer under ACE. 2000 he became a professional mixed martial arts fighter and in 2004 professional kick boxer. In 2005 he was a member of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter 2. Marcus would go on to be a 15 time UFC veteran from 2005-2011. At age 48, November 2021 Marcus came out of retirement and fought a MMA bout, Winning in 1 minute and 9 seconds by submission. In 2014 he became a certified group fitness and MMA fitness trainer under Kevin Kearns with on going educational credits with ACE and CANFITPRO. In 2015 he became a Biomechanics Specialist under the Spencer Institute/NESTA and again in 2023 under NESTA and certified under HIPAA. Marcus also holds an associates in applied sciences and biomechanics under the London college of osteopathic medicine. Marcus holds a black belt under PHD Sueng O. Choi in Choishindo. Marcus also holds a advanced Mongkol in Sityodtong Muay Thai under famous UFC coach- Mark Dellagrotte. Marcus is a Master Coach under world renown trainer- Greg Jackson and teaches his MMA system/program in Raleigh, NC at TapOut Fitness. Marcus has had the privilege of training with black belt Tony Blauer in his science based system (S.P.E.A.R.). After training with these 4 incredible coaches and applying his education in Biomechanics and the use of Tony Blauers SPEAR system as a bridge to his own, Marcus developed B.R.U.T.E. F.O.R.C.E. acronym for balance retention utilizing tactical execution forcing opposition to recover coordination exploitation. To date Marcus has trained 8 different police departments in the North Carolina. In 2017 Marcus was the combatives instructor for SWAT members of the North Carolina Tactical Officers Association symposium and again NCTOA regional training session at the North Carolina Justice Academy in Salemburg, NC. Since 2007, Marcus has traveled, worked with/trained at military bases around the world from the Maine ANG to the Marine Corps base Quantico, Ramstein Air Base Germany, Ansbach Airfield Germany, Spangdahlem Air Base Germany, RAF Alconbury United Kingdom, RAF Croughton UK, and more.
