Mara Sergienko

I am currently a fourth-year Aeronautical Engineering student at Imperial College London, specialising in Spacecraft Engineering. I have a strong competitive badminton background and was ranked 15th in the UK in the U17 singles category. I also trained in Denmark with the former coach of the current Olympic champion. This gave me extensive experience in high-level training and competition, as well as strong coordination, agility and confidence with racket sports. I am also a beginner in boxing and regularly enjoy keeping active. I play the piano and have achieved Grade 3. I also have a strong interest in practical and creative work, including ceramics, sculpting and wood carving, and am comfortable using my hands for detailed craft-based work. Through my engineering degree, I am comfortable in scientific, technical and professional environments, including laboratories, workshops and university settings. I am reliable, adaptable and comfortable working with new people and taking direction. I am happy to learn movements or skills required for a particular production and would be comfortable in a wide range of roles, particularly sporting, student/university, scientific, technical, workshop, office and creative settings.
