Madison Cunningham

I was born and raised in the storytelling culture of Hawai'i to parents who are international filmmakers. This unique upbringing has cultivated in me a deep appreciation for cultures, people, and the way stories define who we are. Since I was 8 years old, I have been part of a Hula dancing troupe that has traveled the world. I have experienced what it is to perform for Holocaust survivors in Israel, as well as in New Zealand at a local prison. All of my treasured encounters have helped me see how story, in its many forms, defines and can bridge culture and when empowered with seasoned craft can bring insight and transformational connection in our often divisive world. My love for performing grew as I performed in local musicals. Playing characters and going deeper into understanding why people do what they do in order to portray well-rounded characters became a deep passion for me. My goal as an actress is to serve the story, my coworkers, and the audience on every project I am apart of.
