About:
Macey Phillips is a Texas-born dancer, educator, and professional artist whose work is rooted in discipline, versatility, and a deep emotional connection to movement. Originally from Buda, Texas, she is preparing to relocate to Los Angeles, California, to further pursue a professional dance career. Dance has been the defining constant of her life, shaping not only her artistic voice but also her leadership, resilience, and sense of purpose. She began dancing at just two years old and trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, acrobatics, modern, heels, kick, and pom. As a competitive studio dancer, she earned regional and national titles that built a strong technical foundation and an early love for performance. Her dedication to her craft naturally led her to pursue dance at the collegiate level, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a Business minor from Texas State University. She continues to expand her movement vocabulary through advanced training at MUV Dance & Fitness, Playground LA, Millennium Dance Complex, and Evenground Dance Studio, and has worked with choreographers including Gustavo Polanco, Grashuss Arie, Shelby Fletcher, Sam Nelson and Enola Bedard. Macey’s professional career reflects a wide range of high-level performance experiences and industry training. She has performed in high-profile venues and events including Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, San Antonio Spurs games, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Her additional credits include a Tim Stiefler music video appearance, working with Enola Bedard on her Bad Bunny Concept Video, and placing 4th at World of Dance with her hip hop crew. She continues to build her presence in the commercial dance space as a member of an elite heels training team, and her mentorship and career development with Menina Fortunato through The Business of Dance have been pivotal in shaping her strategic, disciplined approach to her professional path. Her movement style blends technical precision with grounded athleticism and expressive performance, drawing from both her strong studio foundation and her background in leadership and mentorship. She is particularly recognized for her strength in heels, hip hop, and contemporary fusion, bringing intention and emotional authenticity to every piece she performs. Her versatility allows her to shift seamlessly between powerful, high-energy choreography and narrative-driven movements, creating a dynamic presence on both stage and camera. Beyond performance, Macey’s years as a dance educator have deeply shaped her artistry and work ethic. She spent eight years teaching at her home studio as Hip Hop Director and Assistant Director, mentoring young dancers in both technique and confidence. Teaching instilled in her patience, leadership, and a deeper understanding of how dancers grow mentally and physically. Supporting her students’ journeys ultimately reminded her how much she missed performing herself, motivating her to return to focused professional training with renewed purpose and resilience. Her journey reflects a balance of discipline, heart, and determination — qualities that continue to guide her growth as both an artist and professional. Built by discipline and driven by dance, Macey Phillips moves forward with clarity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to her craft.Mace
