Lynne Yang

Lynne Yang is an aspiring person who comes from an ethnic group with no country—known as Hmong. She speaks 4 languages, has been rewarded the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship in 2014 to study in Taiwan, has participated as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand of 2019, and has graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in 2018. For a couple of years in high school Lynne has taken part of a program, Wednesday Media, where she distributed her skills into acting, story writing, and helping behind the scenes. Videos were produced to encourage the overall stop of discrimination and to promote a peaceful community. After high school she took a different path. She has an additional passion of learning different languages and cultures. She is fluent in Hmong and English, has studied intensive Mandarin at National Taiwan Normal University and intensive Thai at Chiang Mai University, and has studied Korean in South Korea. Within the last five years she taught English in South Korea and Thailand. Aside from languages, she is quiet and shy but enthusiastic about anything martial arts-related! In the past few years she has taken classes in boxing, kickboxing, taekwondo, and Muay Thai. Within the last semester in college she has leveled up from a white belt to an orange belt in taekwondo without performing the sparring section of the level exam because her instructor confidently knew that she would pass. Her extraordinary skills has been recognized and at one point the instructor had asked for a challenge despite of her level. She looks forward to getting back in the film industry with her passions and skills!
