About:
Laura Tighe is from Wheeling, West Virginia where she danced at Oglebay Institute School of Dance for ten years. Laura then attended and graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University with her Bachelor of Arts in Dance in May 2024. At WVU, Laura performed in every dance show and had her own choreography featured in their mainstage production Dance Now! in 2023 and 2024. She also performed in Sweet Charity, the musical in 2022. In June 2023, Laura had the privilege of traveling abroad to Israel, studying with Batsheva Dance Company, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and Kamea Dance Company. Laura completed her first professional dance contract at Kings Dominion Theme Park this past summer where she performed as a France brigade dancer in their Grand Carnivale. Laura currently teaches at Laughlin Chapel and subs at Oglebay Institute while trying to continue her professional dream of dancing on a cruise ship.
