Khari Telesford

Khari X. (Khari R. Telesford) is a NYC-based screenwriter, playwright, and actor of Caribbean descent, known for crafting unfiltered, sharp, and emotionally visceral narratives that demand attention. His screenwriting has earned recognition including an Honorable Mention from the 2026 Rocaberti Writers Retreat Screenwriting Competition and Official Selection by the 2026 Interdependent Studios Screenplay Competition. His work has been featured in Indie Pathways Magazine. Two projects are currently in active development: KAPPA KILL, a gritty true-crime thriller series with a major Ohio independent studio, and MAYBE IT'S ME, a half-hour romantic sitcom pilot. As an actor trained in the Meisner technique at the Ted Bardy Acting Studio (2021-2023), Khari has appeared in the SOOP to Nuts Short Play Festival 1st place winner, Third Party - Blameless (2024), L'aura (2023), and Destiny in the Ground (2023), among others. Specializing in YA fiction, psychological dramas, crime thrillers, neo-noir, and dark comedy, Khari writes stories that hit hard, cut deep, and refuse to be ignored.
