Kendall Martin

Hi! My name is Kendall Martin. I am a type one diabetic,16 year old, african american aspiring actress. I don’t have any experience acting, unless you consider acting out scenes by myself in my room experience, but it’s something I’ve been really interested in these past couple years of my life. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes in 2009 when I was only 4 years old. Being diagnosed at such a young age definitely had it’s highs and lows growing up but I’ve had it for so long that I don’t know anything different. It’s been a dream of mine to act ever since I’ve used it as a coping mechanism to deal with my trama from diabetes. Ever since I was a kid all I ever wanted was to fit in and diabetes made that really hard sometimes, so pretending to be someone else seem really cool at times and it still does even to this day. Anyway enough about diabetes let’s talk about the other exciting parts about me. I absolutely love to bake, it’s been a passion of mine since I was a a kid. It’s a way to calm myself when I’m upset and sad and it’s great way to cheer up by getting to eat your final product. I also love sports and instruments and I’ve played many throughout the years, golf, track and field, volleyball, dance, tee ball, gymnastics, clarinet, and piano. I only continue a few of these activities today but it’s always nice to reminisce on the good days. I’m not the best at school but I try my hardest. I also live with my two dogs, sparky and koko, my brother kylan, and my parents charmaine and travis martin.
