Kate Truong

Growing up in one of Canada's best cities and known for its diverse communities, Toronto has given me the opportunity to build my creativity through different cultures and races. Being exposed to different ethnic groups has shown me how to grow as an artist. I have always been a creative individual so my day-to-day basis consists of being on my hands and feet. Having to go to York University and major in Film Production definitely has given me a mix of theory and practical work. Being on set has taught me so many qualities and skills that benefited my life as a whole such as multitasking, organizing, and working under pressure in a fast environment which helped me adapt quickly and efficiently to different projects and changing priorities. After a few years of experiencing life behind the camera, I gained a huge interest in on-camera. As an artist who adores films, I wanted to indulge myself in both worlds and also utilize my skills and experiences. During my summer breaks, I was given a chance to attend New York's finest drama school; the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. During my 5-week intensive stay, I was able to expand my acting skills. The On-Camera and Audition technique program really helped me build as an actress and inspired me to pursue this acting career.
