Kate Fletcher

I’m Katherine (Kate) Rains Fletcher, a 19-year-old student at the College of Charleston, majoring in International Studies with a concentration in Europe. My passion for diverse experiences has led me to explore various roles, from serving in restaurants and working as a farmhand to caring for animals and assisting as a second caregiver for my brother with Prader-Willi syndrome. These experiences have honed my skills in adaptability, responsibility, and compassion. I have a deep will to change things and understand that it won’t happen by just being angry and trying to convince people. My creative pursuits include embroidery and digitization, and I am also an avid TikTok creator, where I discuss social issues, media trends, and personal experiences with a touch of humor and intelligence. Living with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, I’ve developed resilience and a strong drive to advocate for others with disabilities. My upcoming YouTube channel will focus on these topics, providing support and awareness for special needs siblings and those with chronic conditions. I’m looking forward to new opportunities that will allow me to continue growing, meeting new people, and making a positive impact.
