Kat Francis

Kat Fancis is an actor, filmmaker and photographer based in Sydney Australia. She's always had a key eye and artistic flair for film and theatre ever since watching the movie 'Alien' at the age of 10, causing her to no longer be a scaredy cat (pun intended), and thus falling in love with how film impacts people emotionally through performance and art form. She was a 2024 graduate of the Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media course at Sydney Actors School, where she was classically trained in Shakespeare scene work with director Garth Holcombe, and Improvisation with Lyn Pierce. As well as performing in a multitude of play productions and working with extraordinary directors such as Jules Billington, Claudia Barrie, Janine Watson and Shane Anthony. She also has experience creating a multitude of student films, operating in major filmmaking roles such as Writer, Director, Director of Photography and Continuity. In Kat's acting journey out in the industry - whether in finding opportunities in film, TV, theatre, or voiceover work - her main goal is to be able to create new characters and tell stories to which she feels deeply connected with, and that viewers would also feel as such!
