Kalvin McClure

Kalvin McClure has been acting and performing since birth. When he was just 2 weeks old, he played baby Jesus in a church photoshoot while his parents played Mary and Joseph. He did tap, ballet, and jazz from preschool age until 9th grade, and has been in countless musical theater productions since elementary school, usually with lead or supporting roles. His favorite roles have included Fiona from Shrek the Musical, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Joy (stepsister) in Cinderella (Rodgers and Hammerstein version), and Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians. Before college, he was paid to be in Great American Video's fundraising videos. These were videos that were shown to school-age kids to get them excited about selling cookie dough for school fundraisers. In these videos, he would model different prizes kids could win, act in groups with other kids, and improv when directed. These videos were shown to kids in public schools all around America. He majored in music education in college, where he got to star in two different operatic roles as a mezzo-soprano, as well as one role professionally after graduating with honors. Kalvin can play both flute and piccolo at a professional level, and plays piano by ear and reading chords. Kalvin transitioned from female to male in 2019 and has been living male ever since - teaching himself how to sing in a lower register as his voice changed. After college, Kalvin ran a successful photography business before COVID hit. He is currently working as a delivery driver and is learning how to become a software engineer. When he's not doing that, you can find him streaming his favorite games on Twitch or writing fanfiction about his favorite Netflix shows.
