Julia Joan Chua

Julia Joan Chua is a Filipina actress and multidisciplinary storyteller working across theater, film, and digital media. She began her professional career at the age of five, building a practice grounded in discipline, emotional range, and a deep commitment to truthful performance. Her stage work spans productions such as The King and I, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Binondo: A Tsinoy Musical, where she was part of the award-winning Best Ensemble cast, alongside international credits including Fame Jr., Emma: A Pop Musical, and Will and Whit: The Musical. On screen, she has appeared in Us Again (2021) and Gasping for Air (2016), both streaming on Netflix. Trained under institutions such as PETA, DMR Adventures, and Dulaang Filipino at De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, she is a triple threat with a background in dance and musical theater. Her original play Vault won Best Script at the Crossroads 18 Theater Festival. A Magna Cum Laude graduate in Multimedia Arts (2025), Julia also works in design, videography, and filmmaking—bringing a research-driven, intentional approach to every role she takes on.
