Joron Bourque

Joron Bourque is 53 years old. He grew up in coastal Maine, attended college in Ohio and did a 2200 mile thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in just under six months. Now he is a theater director, actor, and media professional based in Sacramento, California. Bourque holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theater with an emphasis on directing. He also has a background in broadcast media, having worked as a cameraman for CBS and FOX affiliates in Anchorage, Alaska, filming major events such as the Iditarod Sled Dog Race and Black Hawk Helicopter live-fire exercises. He was Contestant 823 on Beast Games Season 1 and is also featured in the Alanis Morissette music video for "Reasons I Drink" (2020), from her album Such Pretty Forks in the Road. Joron recently retired from a 25 year broadcast radio career and did over a decade as host of the public affairs programming on Sacramento iHeartradio stations. He is aware of his age and old enough to know that opportunities and experiences ARE out there - you just have to be confident and willing to try and grasp them. Joron's only child graduated from high school in 2024 and is beginning a new chapter in life. But this is as much a new chapter in Joron's life for as it is for his son and he is opening his mind, body and spirit to new ideas and adventures that can continue to shape, grow, and define him. In an ideal world he has desires of completing thru-hikes of both the Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide Trail to add to his A.T. success and achieve the Triple Crown Status of the hiking world.
