Jolie Laurens

Hello! My name is Jolie and I'm an aspiring actress. Currently, I am a college student studying at the University of Virginia. I have always been passionate about acting, and I've had experience performing in a couple of local and school theater productions where I fell in love with storytelling while embodying emotionally-complex roles. I’m most drawn to playing characters who carry deep and layered emotions, which allows me to explore vulnerability, resilience, and everything in between. Most recently, I played Zoe Murphy in my old high school's production of the musical Dear Evan Hansen. Although I've had more experience with dramatic roles so far, I’m excited to continue expanding my acting range. I'm excited to take on any kind of role that will challenge me to grow as an artist, but in particular, I'm looking to explore film/tv roles where I can dive into the more subtler and intimate style of acting that a camera captures. I am a passionate and hardworking learner, and I am always excited to collaborate with creative teams to bring stories to life. I’m more than happy to send over a video reel tailored to a specific role to demonstrate my skills. I’m eager to learn from every opportunity that comes my way, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!
